Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was found hanged in his prison cell early Wednesday.

"Mr. Hernandez hanged himself utilizing a bed sheet that he attached to his cell window," Christopher M. Fallon of the Massachusetts Department of Corrections said in a statement obtained by NPR member station WBUR. "Mr. Hernandez also attempted to block his door from the inside by jamming the door with various items."

watching tv earlier this morning I heard the news flash. I thought about posting and then thought better of it. The man had a great life and career in front of him and threw it away over a petty squabble. He was convicted and as far as I know never showed any remorse. I, for one, didn't want to add his name to a list of respected, for the most part, names. Not to taken as a critique of prior poster.

what I felt about him did not factor into the decision to post his passing. I have seen other nefarious entries to this thread and thought he was notable entry and a cautionary tale ultimately.

Producer J.C.Spink has died at the age of 45.
J.C was one of the men behind movies such as Hangover, The Butterfly Effect and History of violence.

American singer and actor He was the lead singer of the soul group The Main Ingredient most notable for its two biggest hits "Everybody Plays the Fool" (1972) and "Just Don't Want to Be Lonely" (1974). Gooding also had a brief solo career on Motown Records during the late-1970s and early-1980s. His biggest international success was Brian Auger's "Happiness Is Just Around the Bend" in 1983, which has in recent times been sampled by several R&B artists, as well as hitting the charts again as a remix by UK Hardcore Rave group Altern-8 in 1991. In the same year, samples from the song also featured prominently in Bizarre Inc's single "Playing With Knives" died age 72.

Former England & Villa Footballer Ugo Ehiogu has passed away at the age of 44. What a shame. Very sad. I understand he was on the coaching staff at Spurs and was taken ill yesterday.

Sad news for those close to him to lose someone at a young age. Apparently he suffered cardiac arrest yesterday, received immediate medical attention, but passed early this morning. 44 is no age.
