What has Donald Trump got against London Mayor Sadiq Khan?

Another mystifying twatter attack on our mayor by that total bozo. I can only put it down to racism and hatred.

With regards to arming the British Police I think the Police themselves should be the ones to decide if they need it.
A recent survey showed 50% of Met Police (London) officers wanted to be armed but again that London is not a weather vane of the country as a whole as London has born the brunt of attacks by fanatical Islamic shitheads over the years

If someone is a suspect, they may communicate via Email, and post on sites, this is dealing with the current threat. The rest takes time, I agree with you, but closing Muslim establishments will be far worse, it forces stuff underground, harder to infiltrate.

Germany has closed a number of Mosques since about 2015 with success (also confiscatory of all funds). Of course with having an eye on the actors. Some tried to open indeed an other establishment - got closed within a week again.

I understand your points, but somehow we've got to stop the messages of hate getting to people who seem so receptive to them.

There's no easy solution, but we're not winning just by trying to react to circumstances and to detect and stop plots before they're successfully executed. We can't stop them all.

Agreed - problem is, the source of this radicalisation is said to be Wahhabism, the puritanical variant of Islam which is prevalent in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States, who are our "allies".
So we don't cut off the "head" of the radical snake, because we don't want to upset the Saudis (perish forbid..) - we attack the "body" instead

Sadiq Khan previously demanded Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK should be cancelled. Our Mayor also previously stated that Trump's Travel Ban "flies in the face of the values" the US was built on, and has openly criticized Trump's stance toward Muslims.

It appears that renting a vehicle to use as a deadly weapon is too easy and that could easily draw attention to that.

When I was at school we used to get regular police talks and everytime a new policeman came to the school-primary school that is-the ONE question I always asked was "would you ever use guns?" The reply was always the same, no! but the only police that were armed back then were the Flying Squad aka The Sweeney(as in Sweeney Todd=Flying Squad cockney rhyming slang) but fast forward several years and the police are issued TASER weapons, which is a lethal looking gun that fires a restraining voltage at criminals who are ultra-violent or out of control. We used to pride ourselves on being one of few police forces around the world that didn't carry guns, but now I think the days of a clip around the ear and an 'evening all' are long gone. Anti-stab vests, better communication and god knows how much paraphenalia carried by police officers around belts but so far no side-arms unless specially trained and that is the way it should stay. It is not for the Home Secretary to decide if our police should be fully armed, it is up to the top brass in the Police to decide.

What a difference a day makes. At present I can hear the wind battering the roof of my attic room and rain earlier came down quite heavily-this will hopefully fill the aquifers and stop a drought from occurring this Summer.

Finally I watched the One Love Manchester concert yesterday and I was mightily impressed with the line-up and Ariana Grande, whom I had never seen nor heard before. She is a beautiful young girl with a huge fan base yet found the time to put on this concert and looked genuinely upset yet stayed brave and continued on although it choked her up a few times. Highlight was Don't Look Back in Anger by Chris Martin of Coldplay and nice to see Liam Gallagher appear at the end but shame on Noel for not bothering to come-as Liam said it's not about Oasis, it is about people who were injured and the 22 that were killed that deserved respect.
