Once Upon a Time We Had The Great Ability To Laugh at Ourselves, But Now Shown With Our New Age Politicians, None At All.. The New Millenium Labor Prime Ministers Have Proved To Be Nothing But Wishey Washy Wankers Who Cant Take a Joke or Barb Thrown at Them. Back in The Day When I Did Vote Labor.. Gough Would Have Laughed at The Menu and Ordered Double Helpings.. Bob Would Have Laughed At The Menu and Ordered More Beers... Paul Would Have Ordered a Pinot Noir and had a Reccesion (you Just Had to Have) They Would Have Never Cried Fowl.. Last edited by Grey Wolf; June 14th, 2013 at 08:53 AM.. Reason: Added Image |

It's now recognised for the gratuitous bullying & misogyny it was all along? The great Aussie sense of humour that I recall typically included a fair bit of self-parody rather that disparaging others.

Are we really that small-minded? Is it not a form of dishonesty within our arguments, and to ourselves, to not address political issues more directly? Is it still funny if one of your colleagues takes along to a workplace luncheon a menu that makes fun of your "equipment"? |

Recognised By Whom? Certainly NOT Mainstream Aussies. To Be Called Women Haters and Bullies, Would Be the Disparaging Remarks and Simply Would Not Apply To the true Aussie Larakins Past and Present. Moreover The Increase of Misogyny and Bullying in Australia is in Direct Proportion To the Lack of Disipline in Schools, The Continuing Binding of Police Effectivness and the Ongoing Acceptance of Cultural Abberations. I can't fault Tony Abbott's stated view on this matter: Consider That as Mr Abbotts First Wishy Washy Statement as The New Prime Minister To Be, At Least Joe Hockey Had The Smarts To Suggest That The Incumbent Prime Minister Should More Important Things to Concern Her Than A Silly Joke... Probably not, but I don't recall restaurants making menus that poked fun at their sexual apparatus/floppy bits. Whether Gough, Bob, & Paul all had teeny-tiny penises or not, just like former Liberal PMs, surely had no effect upon their political choices/performance? Neither Do I, However Because of The Fact They Were Clever Enough to Accept Silly Things Like That at Face Value and Witty Enough To Retort Themselves, Those Types of Comments Would Never Have Been picked Up By The Media let alone The Public. Are we really that small-minded? Is it not a form of dishonesty within our arguments, and to ourselves, to not address political issues more directly? I Myself am More Than Happy To Tackle Any Political Issue Front on Without Bias Or Fear of Strong Debate.. BUT.... Please, Please Tell Me When Any Of These Pollies on Both Sides of The Fence Address ANY Issue Directly or Honestly.. Is it still funny if one of your colleagues takes along to a workplace luncheon a menu that makes fun of your "equipment"? Firstly Lets be Clear The "Menu" In Question Was Not in The Dining Room at Parliment House, Which is Their Workplace, But in an Obscure Restaurant in Queensland. Secondly, IT Would'nt Bother Me in The Slightest, Because After All, I Have A Sense Of Humour... In Conclusion, When Madame Julia is Finally Gone, I Shall Break Open The Bottle of Chateu Kerrs Cur Vintage 1975 and Toast The Departure Of The Red Headed, Fat Arsed, Big Thighed, Butt Ugly, Boring Voiced Cow. Now Thats Misogynistic.. |

Not sure I understand your argument there, gw. It seems like you're arguing that because politicians are indirect or dishonest in their tack[l]ing of (all?) issues, it's OK for the rest of us to follow them in adopting that behaviour?

Lets Rise Up, Sort Out Our Problems, Ask Them To face Our Problems As Leaders Of A Country, Not Care What Was On A Menu. For Any Point Of Reason We Have Just Lost Our Third Biggest Car Maker To A Country That Has No Interest In Carbon Pricing or Taxing. And All Our Prime Minister can Do Is Worry About Blue Ties... All I can think Is You Must Live In NZ, At Least Ya Got The GST Right.. And A Women Prime Minister... |

Gentleman
Just One Final Point In Regards To Misogyny
Back Long Time Ago My Son And I Went To The Parramatta Government Offices, I Shall Not Bore You With The Crap That Ensued, But Prior To Our Entry At The Building, Ad My Son Stood Behind Me, I Opened The Door For As I Presumed Was A Lady.. Wherein She Said You are only opening This Door Because I'm a Women, To Which I Replied , No Madam, I Am Opening The Door Because I'm A Gentleman. My Son Was Just Behind Me To This Day My Son Follows That. And I learned From My Father To Be Gentleman Last edited by Grey Wolf; June 14th, 2013 at 02:20 PM.. Reason: Added Text |
