I used to resemble the English author Salman Rushdie. For reasons I wont go into I shaved off the beard and traded the specs for contact lenses. Now I look more like Roland Rat.

I got mistaken for Rod Taylor once. That was curious because I never really thought I looked much like Rod Taylor.
What was even more curious, and very Twilight Zone-ish, was that I had actually met him only a week or so before. I was in a pub with a few mates. One of them said, "That bloke over there looks like Rod Taylor." I said, "It is." After a minute or so of "no-it-isn't" "yes-it-is" I managed to confirm his identity, so I bought him a beer and we chatted with him for about half an hour. Very pleasant and personable he was too. |

Giles Lytton Strachey (look it up)
Uncanny resemblance, except I'm straight and write different stuff. Though these days the bushy beard has gone, likewise the ponytail.

My wife has exactly the same name as P.McCartneys ex and has blonde hair as well. She appeared in several newspapers and magazines when they got married and later when they got divorced, usually within articles about people who look like or have the same name as celebs..

About fifteen years ago in New Orleans every time I went to this one bar the bar tender, a transsexual named Mrs Do, would put on Kenny Loggins theme from the movie Footloose. Apparently the running gag in the bar was that I looked like Kevin Bacon. It took me a while to cotton on and when I finally made a comment about the popularity of the song half the bar spit out their drinks while the other half howled with laughter .

Peter Jackson during his Lord of the Rings era.
Or Dave Myers, one of the Hairy Bikers (a cooking program here in the UK). |

Almost a dead ringer for Tom Selleck until my late 30's when my hair started to abandon ship. But even now, I put a ball cap or a cowboy hat on and people still say I resemble him.
