^ In case you haven't noticed, this is VEF, and shaving your vulva is somewhat frowned upon around here.

On the other hand, if you shave yours, feel free to share pix.

Back OT, I use Gillette Good News plastic razors, the el cheapo kind that come in a plastic pack. I have a fairly light beard, which these days I consider a blessing. I cut myself every once in awhile, but I don't feel like buying an expensive electric razor to avoid it.

You are fortunate, I have black hair = black beard & light brown skin. Even when I have shaven I still look like if I have not.

I think that the "scrufy" look is coming back, and that five-o-clock shadow has been trending for the past year or two, if I am not mistaken. I have second cousins who are Millennials and some of them have beards; they never did it in high school because their dad was cleanshaven. Paradoxically, my female first cousin married a guy who looks dead-on Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe but with no facial hair. ???

I myself can look like Ashton Kutcher because I look okay with a beard, better clean-shaven, but still a 7 in appearance with up to 1-2 weeks of scruff on my chin. I recently received as a gift from my father a new electric razor system with 5 different attachments that can do everything, including the vile nose hairs that make all your other grooming efforts purposeless, if anyone notices that you have nose hairs.

Now if I worked out enough and lost the rest of my spare tire, I could be an 8 in appearance and be in grown-up situations with a blonde girl who likes hot tubs.

I decided to try a new type of shaving gel.

It was in a black can, which I didn't think anything of...

But it turns out the gel actually is black.

It contains carbon (charcoal powder). No idea why that would make it better. Little worried about what it might be doing to my bathroom plumbing...

I get shaved on Sunday and Wednesday usually. Gillette Blue II is what i use. Shaving foam for me. Never used an electric razor.

I use a Gillette double blade, with a pivoting head. Aerosol shaving cream from a can works fine for me, but I've used a shaving cake and a boar's hair brush too.

There was an article and pictorial in Playboy in the mid-80s on how to get a good shave. Dolph Lundgren was the guy shaving in the pictures. I still use tips from that article to this day.

Me, now that I'm retired I shave probably every third day and then only because there's more salt in my beard than any other colour. It's a laborious task. Schick Quattro Titanium blade is my preferred choice. If it's a special occasion I go to my barber for the hot towel stuffy.
