I have just received, and put onto iTunes, seven early CDs of Whitesnake, totaling 97 songs.

These are albums from their earliest days, in the late '70s / early '80s era, before they ever became popular in America. Some fans think that their early lineups were more authentically blues-rock and the "true" Whitesnake style of music, long before Adrian Vandenberg or Steve Vai were ever in the band.

And that is saying something, because Steve Vai is arguably a better guitarist than Ted Nugent, Tom Morello, or various others I could name right about now...

I liked the self titled album a lot. Still of the Night is still one of my all time favorite songs. They have some other songs scattered throughout their catalog that arent bad but nothing really ever compared to SOTN for me. But i grew up on a lot of the hair rock stuff so i was definitely a fan. I even enjoyed the Coverdale/Page album they did a few years later.

All I can say is the video to "Here I Go Again" was one that
stayed in my mind cause that hot blonde spreading her wings
on the hood of the car was all it took for me to like Whitesnake.
