Condom usage in porn

Just wondered what everyone's thoughts are on the usage of condoms in the movies you watch.

In classic porn, it's almost never seen. But there was a period in the 90's where many of the mainstream studios put out movies that had quite a bit of condom usage in their scenes. I recently just downloaded a movie featured here that had condoms all through it:

Fantastic movie, don't get me wrong. But the usage of condoms kind of spoiled it for me.

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't begrudge the actors wanting to protect themselves and I certainly do not want them to put themselves at major risk just to make a movie. But on the other hand, it does kind of spoil the "fantasy" of porn with the harsh realities of diseases and protection coming into mind. I know, it's a selfish reason to prefer my porn without condom use, but that's just the way I am.

How do others feel about this? Does it matter to you?

This could seem as being odd, but I prefer it as it is a better match for real life and it takes away the 'hollywood' fantasy element of porn.

The only downside is when they have to whip it off on order to produce the money shot on pubes/boobs/tongue. To be fair tho' I dont need to see the proof shots and I often edit them out when I can. The proof shots spoil porn for me far more than any condom. I actully feel more empathy with both actress and actor when I see rubber burning

Only they don't do that in like 99% of the movies. It's just WHAM, it's there.

Another reason I don't like it, you don't get to see the guy pull out and have the woman suck on him a little before putting it back in which is always a turn on for me.

Also, any period piece you see where it's suppose to be in the 1800's or 1700's or even back in Roman times is ruined when you see a latex condom.

Yeah! I know what you mean.....they go to all that trouble to find the custumes and the settings and then make up the girls with the lead based face powder and add a few pox scars.......the least they could do is source some proper pig intestine prophylactics.......

well, you know what I mean. How many people way back then actually used prophylactics? I know the usage of prophylactics goes back a long time, but how widespread was it really?

I support the use of condoms among young people. In a couple, not promiscuous, I consider it a nuisance.
I hate see it in a porn movie, eliminates fantasy.

I absolutely hate condoms in porn. It totally kills the fantasy aspect of it. I totally avoid movies or scenes where they are used.

i don't like condoms in porn either but explicite-art does all his films with condoms but he also films all the girls putting them on which i find strangly erotic, i don't know why but there you go... porns a funny thing..
