That's a good point. In the same vein, why do the fly off in planes when the earth's crust is collapsing beneath them..where are they going to land. Also, why do they run to the highest land point when an asteroid is about to hit the earth.

Bulletproof horses . Attacking cavalry get shot up by the enemy . The troops get slaughtered while the horses wander off without a scratch .

Quote:
In WWII, around 80% of the German Army used horses for pulling wagon/guns. The effects of artillery fire/air attacks on such columns of the German Army were mentioned in various incidents - notably Falaise Gap/Pocket https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falaise_Pocket Not to mention the smell of dead horses rotting in the August sun, the sight and sounds of horses screaming in pain while dragging their intestines behind them would make most people vomit. |

How come all the people sleeping in the stairwell in Soylent Green don't loot Heston's apartment?
The little kid Heston comes across tethered to his dead mum in Soylent Green...what does he expect the nun he hands the kid to to do with him? How come in an horrific, overcrowded world the big luxurious euthanasia centre is quiet and dignified and only has like half a dozen people in line and there's only three people working at the soylent green plant? How come in a world where life is so debased they send in garbage trucks to break up riots, Edward G is treated with dignity and respect and gets his full twenty minutes? Why are they still using plug-in earphones, analogue control boards and phone call boxes in the year 2022? |

Vehicles run on magic
More precisely, vehicles outside of U.S.A. & Canada run on magic!
T.V. shows & movies set in USA & Canada regularly have service stations and gas pumps littering the sets. If there are vehicles used by the characters, then the plot will need them to stop and fill up; purchase food, lottery tickets, or use a telephone; get the vehicle fixed; corner/kill a suspect; or just conveniently explode. However, in years of watching, I believe I have seen movie and T.V. service stations in the rest of the world only three times! Once on Coronation Street in the U.K., once in a Mexican town close to the U.S.A. border, and once in Australia--I think it was in a sheep paddock. (It's possible that we could make an entire post in this thread about Australian sheep ... but I digress. ) Has anyone else noticed that so much less happens at gas stations in the rest of the world? e.d. |

Have you ever watched even one episode??? If not you might try one before you criticize. Alice was really the one in the driver's seat (that's a joke since Ralph was a bus driver) and Trixie, the friend also ran her husband's life. It never happened an was just a regular joke line. It also was made in 1955-56 when things were a lot less aware than now.

Remember that if you have any superpower , the only way for that power to escape you is through your fingers , so always remember to stick your hands out in front of you when you release your power.....also you need wear some sort of naff suit, otherwise you would just look stupid..wouldn't you
