Movie ID Help
I was looking for an old tv horror movie where a couple is about to have sex and they are attacked by a werewolf or a kind of monster. in a specific shot the werewolf rips the girls blouse from behind exposing her boobs.

To me the "best adaption" is and always will be The Shawshank Redemtion - great actors and chemistry between them Both are taken from Different Seasons and i am waiting for the last Story called "The breathing Method" to be adapted - reading this story was true Horror to me As you may know there is an adaption of The Shining which is closer to the original, than Stanley Kubrick's piece. I don't want to blame Stanley Kubrick for his adaption, he has done this in his way Last edited by sledge; February 11th, 2019 at 12:22 PM.. |

Hereditary (2018)
Halloween has come and gone this year, but hasn't stopped me from browsing the genre for new gems. This is one of them. Hereditary is awesome. It's one of those movies where you hit the forums and user reviews afterwards to try to find out what happened and how all the pieces fit together, which is a testament to how good the writers were able to keep viewers guessing what was actually going on. As the title of the movie indicates, the storyline is about family, more specifically how people handle grief after the death of a loved one. The "horror" comes from the tension and clues that are gradually discovered as the plot unfolds. In short, this movie is great because it asks the audience to choose a character and put themselves in that person's position and figure out what dark family secrets they have carried with them and whether or not their choices are truly a matter of "fate" or "free will."

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) was one that scared me. I remember seeing it when I was 9 years old and the seed pods made an impression on me to the point I was afraid to go to sleep that night. Starred Kevin McCarthy, Dana Wynter, and Carolyn Jones. Directed by Don Siegel who was known for Clint Eastwood movies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasi...Body_Snatchers |

Halloween (2018)
There'll probably be a lot of reactions for this flick, but personally, I really liked it. To be clear, this is a sequel and not a remake. Part of my love for this movie is how the script makes a lot of references to the original 1978 movie. Of all the sequels (and attempted remake), this one gets the story right. Many elements come together to make this movie work: a killer score, new characters that you can actually care about, and an intelligent script. We see Laurie's character evolve (albeit devolve) and struggle to avoid becoming a mad monster like her brother. Also, the film contains a rare horror sequel intelligent script moment when a very obvious question is asked and answered: Why can't the authorities simply execute Michael? Why continue to allow him to live? This is the sequel I've been waiting for.

One horror film that really did give me the heebeejeebees was the Kurt Russell remake of The Thing. I was staying with a university pal in London, in the good old days when films would be released there weeks before reaching the sticks. We couldn't decide between Raiders of The Lost Ark - my choice - and The Thing. We tossed a coin. I lost. |

For my money it just doesn't get any better than the old Hammer movies from years ago. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee at their best. Give me some deep cleavage, a mad scientist, sprinkle with at least one angry bunch of villagers with torches and pitchforks and I'm in horror heaven.
Now I'll throw in something from way out in left field. It's a Japanese horror movie called "Gozu". If you're not squirming in your seat by at least half way through this one, check your pulse, you might be dead. It's the kind of movie you only watch once. Ike |

The Horror of Dracula is outstanding. The music track (James Bernard) where Dracula is chasing Van Helsing doesn't get much better than that. I lost. Another winner in my book. A rare out of the box soundtrack from Ennio Morricone and direction from John Carpenter. Last edited by sdsioux; December 19th, 2019 at 02:01 PM.. Reason: quotes |
