It is one of those new screens that you can do other things on them like connect a wireless keyboard and mouse and use a browser, access BBCIplayer and other catch up to services and download films and televison box sets if connected to an Internet router. Try doing that with your old SONY Trinitron😀 But the downside is that it can know all about you and transmit information about you( set up your machine to not do so via Settings) and it can even be set up to use voice control...hence smart TV

Here's some advice ...be smart and invent a smart TV/Phone
Given what TV's and Phones can do these days it would be no problem for one of the tech companies to make one of the ultimate for laziness , You're watching TV Being the classic clob iPhone rings Too far away to reach ( coffee table ) so it can be diverted to your TV, You won't have to do a thing except talk
