Six months ago I bought a cheap pedal bin for £7.

A bargain I thought. What can go wrong with a pedal bin? Well mine has been a litany of problems. First, the lid never fully closed properly. I had to do some fettling with it in order to get into the correct shape. Then, the foot release lever at the bottom which operates the flip-up lid broke. And, ever since I purchased the ruddy thing it smelt of burnt rubber.

Roku media player
I thought I was buying a basic media player but it turned out to be a media streamer which I don't use.
all I want is a simple media player but no one seems to make them since WD stopped.

It's not just youngsters who can't be bothered to take things back to the shop that are unsuitable.

I have an Uncle (by marriage) - ( I mean we aren't biologically related, thank god !)

He bought a tin oven tray - couple of £

He gets home, and it's too wide to fit inside his oven

Does he take it back and change it ? - Nooooo

He gets a pair of pliers out and bends the edges up so it will fit in

It now rocks from side to side whilst burning his oven chips

I ask you

Of course we have...but we're all a little older now and wised-up enough to realise that no cares.

SH, this is about crap we bought. Buying a new dog which throws up watching your perversions and ends up rolled up in the garage is not part of the remit

I thought I'd save a buck or two by buying a can of store-brand aerosol air freshener. The can said "Fresh Linen Scent." When I sprayed the stuff, it smelled more like a cross between a candy factory and a Persian whorehouse.

I'm sticking to name-brand air freshener from now on.

First off, the sales guy didn't want to know - kept insisting I was setting it up wrong; it took 20 minutes to impress upon him the fact that there was nothing to set up - the unit was dead.
Reminds me of a certain well-known Monty Python sketch involving a parrot . . .

You guessed it....big mistake. The movie was called Summer Lovers, a girlie movie and worth it's weight in dog shit.
Yeah, I remember that one. It should have been called Young, Good-Looking and Naked in the Greek Islands. Only it could have used more naked.

Smoke alarms on ebay. Fake chinese shit that tested fine but did not go off when the smoke was so thick I could hardly see the ceiling. You probably surmised I did not die in the fire.

I have three Humax HDD recorders and the last one died recently. No record, no playback of recorded stuff and all programs/films I wanted to save or watch again.
