I support the principle of denying British citizenship to ISIL scum. If you go there, I don't want you back. I am in favour of British-born terorists being tried and (if convicted) punished by the country where they committed the offence; but in Syria this seems unlikely.

Incidentally, if they committed their crimes before their citizenship was revoked, our courts are competent to try these offences - the conviction and execution of William Joyce ("Lord Haw Haw") was decided on this point. He made one broadcast in September 1939, before his German citizenship became official, and the court threw out all the charges related to every broadcast he made from October 1939 onwards, when he was a German citizen. That one broadcast he made when still a British subject was what got him hanged. If these Beatles were still British citizens when the crime was done, we can try them regardless of whether they ceased to be citizens afterwards.

I think that criminals that are sentenced to death by the courts should be given a choice on how they want to die: death by lethal gas, death by electrocution, death by hanging, death by firing squad, death by guillotine, death by drowning, etc.

Just to flog this topic to death, I'd like to throw in a few more thoughts on the War on Terror.

In the case of ISIS, many Western governments have informally taken their gloves off when dealing with these people and clearly the Russians make up the rules as they go along and kill whoever they like when they like. In reality, who actually cares if special forces are sent in to take out various evil individuals? Washington was very happy to send a team into Pakistan to kill Bin Laden. Nobody minded about that, did they? Obama was very pleased when he told the nation on TV, "Good evening. Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, and a terrorist who's responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children."

With this in mind, who cares about US/NATO air strikes in Syria using highly lethal thermobaric weapons that can almost instantly kill a few hundred people in a housing block when the purpose of the mission is simply to take-out a few key individuals? So Syria drops a few oil drums filled with explosive from helicopters and this causes international outrage. Again, big deal. Assad's improvised weapons are not exactly state-of-the-art military technology are they? And then the USAF and RAF make precision attacks on vehicle convoys with drones to neutralise major ISIS players and there is some collateral damage.

We are at war with these people and war is not an especially nice business.

Islam is a ridiculous repressive religion, although I can honestly say that I've met some very nice Muslims over the years. But the fanatical diehard followers of Mohammed are happy to turn sadistic psychopaths into vile killing machines, with ambitions to rid the world of infidel scumbags. They see this as a very long game ending in a global caliphate stuck in the Middle Ages.

Muslim fanatics are about as easy to deal with as rabid dogs. They think it's more than acceptable to put people in cages drenched in fuel and burn them alive while all the ISIS supporters stand around and cheer. They will cut off the heads of Westerners in the most horrific manner possible to produce a dramatic video. Raping and torturing Western women, doing unspeakable things to children. Crucifying non believers, throwing gays off rooftops. All good stuff if you are as fucked up as these people.

Who actually cares if some of these fanatics were once granted UK citizenship and its been taken away? They ran off to join ISIS and this says it all. To now suggest they have any rights under the laws of fairly civilised nations is just ridiculous. Personally, I'd just ban them from ever entering Europe and happily kick out all the UK based extremists and probably all their associates and relatives in one large purge.

We rightly go after anyone who commits war crimes, just as Mossad does. When WW2 ended, secret UK, US and French units hunted down and killed quite a few Nazis, while the remainder of fanatics who had little to offer were mostly hanged. But in recent times, the British have pursued Nazis for political gain and put them on trial, whereas the Israelis simply find them and shoot them. Again, who cares if the former Nazi commandant of a concentration camp gets a bullet in the back of their head?

At present, Europe has a huge problem with Islamic extremism, their religion in general and culture, aided by the left who remain fixated with the wonders of multiculturalism. No problem when everyone wants to fit in and be a part of a decent society and not form their own small provinces run with alien rules.

Sadly, a week rarely passes without some form of terrorism taking place in Sweden, Germany, France or the UK and there is little doubt that sooner or later, something new will take place that kills a load of innocent people. In some respects our security services may not be performing too badly at the moment and they would claim to have prevented a number of serious events.

Just to make a point on earlier comments about white religious fanatics in the US -

The most accurate reports of 2018 incidents in the US involving Islamic fanatics, show events at these locations: Travis AFB, CA, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Tahlequah, OK and Greenville, SC. Things have actually not been too bad. The biggest recent Islamic inspired massacre in the US was the shooting at the Orlando night club which killed 49 and wounded another 53, a couple of years ago.

In the case of White Christian fanatics, CNN indicates that the last published figures are for 2017 and show 34 people killed, although the Las Vegas massacre does not count. They say that "2017 was the fifth-deadliest year for extremist violence since 1970."

Major religiously inspired murders in the US, seem to focus on attacks at abortion centres, which apparently is something that remains unacceptable to a fair number of Americans.

I really don't think you can deny there is a major problem in our midst. Radicalisation is an ongoing issue and this problem is unlikely to go away in the lifetime of anyone reading this. It's not in my opinion anything to do with race, simply backward thinking and brainwashing, as was the case with the Japanese prior to and during WW2.
