The amount of paper and coin money in circulation in the U.S. itself only amounts to $230 per person.

There are still half a million outstanding discontinued $500 to $10,000 dollar bills out there.

On a similar tack it has been said, although I am not sure how true it is, that J Edgar Hoover of FBI fame was in fact a closet transvestite!

Robert Baden-Powell founded the Scouts organisation in 1908, but what I didn't know until yesterday was that he also founded the Girl Guides in 1910.

IIRC it was his sister who founded the Girl Guides. But in this day and age of equality girls can join the Scouts, but boys cant join the Guides. Why not? And is there really a need for two seperate organisations?

Oh and Baden-Powell was responsible for Catterick Garrison being built.

According to the source I was reading yesterday it was Robert Baden-Powell, but you may well be right!

As for why can't boys join the guides....well if you have ever seen the Benny Hill sketch where he is a Scout at camp with the Guides, you'd know why!

EDIT: Richardoe, According to Wiki it was Robert Baden-Powell in the UK in 1910, as young ladies were not allowed in the scouts.

As a youth I belonged to the Girl Scouts (American Girl Guides) for the same reason as Benny Hill but they gave me a dishonorable discharge when my voice changed.
