Me too..... not an "almost" .... Star Wars 1V - A New Hope.... saw it in the Cinema about 6/7 times with me kids. On VHS.... every few months........ on Lucas' regurgitated cr@p on dvd... once only. Blues Brothers ~ about 10/20 times ~ music and education for my kids and their friends.... just left them to it... and they all loved Jake and Elwood... so that film hit some level of empathy It's A Wonderful Life ~ seen once at a Hampstead reivival in a real cinema. Seen dozens of times on TV, which thinks it a 'Christmas Film' ... seen dozens of times throughout the year on DVD, with my family who can all quote lines in advance... with joy .............. Father Goose My family shrugs their shouldersand drift off, when it's my choice for an evening DVD film.... I love this filn - the script - the acting -Grant's support of Carron's scenes.... ..................... Posibly exceeds the limits for this thread ..... Father Goose..... seen it over 200 times.... know the script off by heart.... as do me family ... by choice or indroctunation... Saddo .... One is.... |

-The Empire Strikes Back - (Sorry, I'm old school, for my it isn't "Episode Something", it's just called that way. Period).
-Excalibur- (It falls apart a little bit at the end, but it's so epic, moving and good looking! -North by Northwest- (Cary Grant is my number one star ever, and it's one of his two more amusing performances). -His Girl Friday- (This is the other of Cary's more amusing performances). -The Big Sleep- (With this dialogue, it doesn't matter if the plot is a mess. It's all about character, the Howard Hawks way). -Dune- (Yes: it's bad, boring and incomprehensible, but I find it aesthetically fascinating). -The Living Daylights- (It's my fav Bond movie, really underrated, with pretty good action scenes and a solid performance by Dalton). -Sensual Exposure and Hidden Obsessions- (Well, this is a porn forum, and I really dig Andrew Blake's posh erotica). |
