What if there's a thread that I want to post in but the last post is from a few years ago?

Is that considered bumping? Should I make a new thread? Or is it okay to post there without getting any kind of warning/ban? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. It is generally OK to add to old threads, as long as you are adding genuine content that isn't Off Topic (ie just a comment to a content thread)
I notice that you're posts so far have been In the general discussion and news threads. So I would say that if you have something to add that should be be fine, as long as it is within the posting rules.

Hello and welcome to the forum herskydusteyes,

Don't forget that when you check through a thread to see if the content that you want to post is already here, if you see a thumbnail of it that IS here, it doesn't mean the actual content is here. Quite a lot of it has been lost, mainly that which was on imagevenue, so click on the thumb to see if the content actually shows up.

unrelated help i am confused question. my use of search function was never good in the many years i had previously been a member. now 10 years later i am looking for the barbara dare thread which i cannot find. is it possible there is not one? help please/ thanks

you can avoid the search engine for a lot by using the a to z lists like

Hi There, A while ago I made a thread called Laddered Stockings and Tights and occasionally I'd post to it when I found relevant content. It seems to have disappeared or been merged. It does not really matter but I'd be interested to find out what happened to it.

It's most likey been merged, I had a look at your threads started history and nothing with that name shows up.

What is a while ago?

If you click your username and then select "find more posts by Xavier Xavier" you can see all the posts you made:

Even if a post was moved or a thread merged you should still find it through this and you can see it's new location.

Please consider that as a member, you can only see the last 500 posts, but not the entire posting-history

On more, any moved posts to Moderator-Section don´t show up either.
