Anyone here into erotic fiction, vintage or otherwise?

When I was a kid, as well as Mayfair or Fiesta, dad often had a few erotic books. He had one about a budding starlet I particularly enjoyed.

In the 90s, when I had "come of age", you could still buy erotic novels in the bookstores. I had one about a professional cheerleader who really got behind her football team.

I guess the internet completely killed the market, because you can't seem to find erotic novels anywhere.

They seem to have reached their peak in the 70s, and second-hand bookstores occassionally have a few old copies.

The only ones I have these days are a few Rosie Dixon books and "The Stewardesses", all by Christopher Wood, who also wrote the Confessions... series, as well as the James Bond novelisations.

I'm sort of interested, especially in the softer pre-1970 fiction which is honestly hard to find- the books command a decent price because people like the covers, and I guess it's not clear who has the ability to authorize reprints or whatever. Obviously I doubt much of it is as good as the covers, but it can be interesting. "The Roadhouse" is one book I got cheap which has a few hot scenes.

Yeah, the covers were deceptively raunchy, and had some gorgeous models on them. I probably picked up Rosie Dixon because of the cover.

I like erotic fiction a lot, both vintage and more recent. I find it stimulating to read before a wank session. Start with words, then move on to images when you are nicely raring to go.

I have tried writing my own porn, which since it covers things I find exciting turns me on, but from a literary point of view, still needs a lot of work.

I think you can still get paperbacks: one acquired a couple of years ago is 'Poppy's Pin-Ups' by 'Aishling Morgan'. It has a very nice cover of a lady dressed in 1940's undies and stockings and is set in the 2nd World War, in Egypt. I bought it as it included a fair bit of spanking, but there was also a vast amount of sex, including quite a bit of anal. It seems to be part of a short series, but I haven't bought any others yet.

I have quite a few paperbacks acquired over the years - mostly spanking orientated as that's my thing.

On the net, Literotica is first point of call; I have found some great stories there, but sadly, there is also a lot of rubbish. Still, it is worth trawling to find something you really like.

I've been writing 'Erotic Fiction' for years, but so far have only shared any of it via 'Literotica'; and even then not recently. Tend to create such monsters of tales they would take too long for anyone else to stay interested in, though I have written a few shorter ones, based on an ex-girlfriend, random made up girls, and a few celebrities I like.
