I'd swear Dier was a better footballer when he first got here from Portugal; the hugely over-rated Walker has improved since he went to Citeh, Rose has regressed year by year, the Spurs traditional 'injury' culture persists as as for the unloved except by himself (and he makes up for everyone else) Alli is so far up himself, he is in danger of being the new 'infinity' sign - notice how many big european clubs are chasing his signature? Me neither. A pity as he might start to fulfill that promise we've heard so much about, ad nauseam.

I have a growing suspicion that however much Potchettino is heralded, for the way he sets his teams up, more than a few promising players seem to individually stagnate under his management - is he the new Wenger?

I quite like potty, he might be under Levy's thumb and but for a lack of transfers the spuds could be in the mix with City & Klippity.

I suspect if Levy fails to deliver, Potty might well be on his way, possibly as National coach for the Argies, speaking of which we will surely miss Zab next season on and off the pitch.

Off to the pub for a late lunch, he knows were on the way.

Not a chance he will manage Argentina. Like Simeone he said he would love to coach the seleccion but then refused to say when. The reason being the AFA is a basketcase with little in the way of funds to afford the sort of salaries both would command. Not to mention interfering busybodies inside the AFA pressuring coaches on team selection. Millions upon millions no doubt lie hidden in Don Julio Grondona's Swiss accounts.

Which made it great to see River overcome Boca 3-1 aet in the second leg. No doubt Tapia and Angelici would have been crying buckets.

As for us more missed chances and referees costing us again. At Everton a clear offside for their first before we dominated the snake's team. Kabasele I feel must have had a bet on the match. He needlessly pushed a player over with the ball going out of play. The resultant penalty being saved by Foster only for him to play basketball deep into injury time.

And against Cardiff I do not understand Warnock. They were battered and aside from the chances MOTD deigned to show there were numerous others not to mention their second goal came from an offside situation.

A common factor in both games was the performance of Domingos Quina. Slight of build but he held off bigger players in what was essentially a central midfield role. Quicksilver feet and a range of great passing allied to desire and plenty of energy while Capoue remains suspended.

It's too early to launch into hyperbole about him but the early signs are good and may come back to bite the Hammers in the long run. We still need a quality striker and centreback. We were in for Alcacer who turned us down and but for poor conversion we could easily be sitting in sixth or fifth right now. The midfield is superlative the best I have ever seen at the Vic.

Yessssssssss the first win against Man Utd for Jurgen Klopp! Listening to the radio game it sounded from the commentary that they were awful and allowed Liverpool a lot of room. I worried about the new formation 3-4-3 and without Milner and Henderson we might be vulnerable, but I shouldn't have worried because Fabinho, Keita, Mané, Salah, Firmino and later Shaquiri all stepped up and put the pressure on Utd and won 3-1. Bring on the Wolves, Friday.
