Southampton have not scored a goal at home since the Black Death, but it took just 11 minutes against the wobbly jelly team I support. We have also spent 20 mill on the Austrian joey Barton, Fonte looks more like he has been looking at Sodom and Gomorra rather than an over paid CB, while anything to Joe Hart’s left seems to find the back of the onion bag At this point in time Adrian looks a better bet for us and England

I hope Costa does end up at Everton. Even if it's for a short while to get fit before going back to Atletico. For a long time, Everton has lacked a snarky mongrel that can play.

On one hand the Club wants to keep its squad players match fit
in case they are needed for the main league games

Get games into youngsters at a lesser level

There seems to be this continual call from some media & fans that they are treating the competition with contempt

You cant have both ways in my humble opinion

Would be curious to know if all games are priced the same regardless of which competition?

Both Cup competitions are now little more than training sessions for a lot of clubs and euro places apart are completely devalued. They should remove the two European places and add them to the league positions. It would at least be places for two teams who have put in the effort over the course of a season rather than a few meaningless games, semi's and final apart.

Rooney retires - or has been retired - from international football. Now I suppose we'll get endless debates on whether or not he was an England legend. If the government is desperate for a bt of reflected popularity we may even get Sir Wazza.

Davinson Sanchez (who he?) joins Spurs.

Rumours:

It looks like Coutinho will be staying at Liverpool, at least for this season, despite Barca preparing a 4th bid. If Liverpool have rejected a colossal £118m why would they accept the new bid, supposedly £138m? Coutinho is by some accounts unhappy and wants to leave but if it doesn't happen Liverpool will need to get him back onside. Suarez took his disappointment at not going to Arsenal very well, but if Coutinho sulks Liverpool may regret not taking the money.

Hazard supposedly intends to push through a move to Real Madrid, while Barca want Willian.
