Trouble is, with most Westerns from the dim, dim distant past-forties, fifties; good always overcame evil. In other words, the good guys always won. Shane, High Noon etc: But with Leone's Westerns, which set them apart from that genre, is that bad versus bad-Eastwood was a baddie; and Bronson in Once Upon A Time In The West, was no saint.

Wallach is also quoted that during the making of The Magnificent Seven,he could'nt get used to putting his gun back in his holster,so it ended up that every scene he did they did'nt show him doing that, useless info if you're interested.

Il Grande Silenzio
Quote:
That's why I put my #1 for "Il Grande silenzio" I think most people don't like this........but, to me, totally bad ass movie I ever seen..... 'cause ....at the end, Heros(Jean-Louis Trintignant) gonna die like miserable and Bad guy(Klaus Kinski) won!! ......{they have alternative happy ending} There scenes are surrounded by snow mountains, and Music by Ennio Morricone!!
