I would be a bag of nerves and on edge if I was watching the game but with Liverpool going 2-0 against AS Roma they are fine but the second half is yet to come. Could they do it again? Take a 3-0 or more lead back to AS Roma and only need ONE goal? Well so far, with the mighty Mo Salah getting two and Mané coming close three times, well anything is possible. Back to my nice cup of tea.

OMG!! What an intense second half Liverpool 5 - AS Roma 2 okay they get two away goals (taking Salah off reduced the pressure on Roma) but you would have to put your money on Liverpool scoring in Rome...surely the final is ours? watch this space. Now I need a lie-down in a darkened room.

I got one like this years back in a pre-match kickabout. I can confirm that the % of good fortune involved is indeed considerable.

Elsewhere, I'm pleased Palace look as if they are staying up. Selhurst Park was the first 'away' ground my dear ol' dad took me to, back in the late 60's, to watch Leeds play there.
As anyone knows who has visited, it's an odd ground with a large amount of the ground below street level, but even back in 1968 or 9, there was a proper atmosphere. I've been back to watch my lot there many times since. Selhurst Park sits in a fairly charmless area, but the home support is always vocal and I've long retained something of a soft spot for the club.
Roy Hodgson deserves a mention, along with Sean Dyche, for Manager of the Year.
