Isn't it shameful that this petition was ever even necessary? The Ministry of Defence is one of the most contemptible of all our government institutions and the treatment of Sergeant Telford's family is sadly a typical episode. They treat servicemen badly because they think they can; it is worthwhile to petition and oppose because their track record indicates that they are willing to behave without honour or integrity but that they flinch from being publicly exposed.

One day this country will run out of soldiers and it will happen as a consequence of the foul and disgraceful way in which we treat them.

I'll willingly sign it and e mail it to friends, one of whom had one of his friends killed while serving in N.I.

What a pity things like this are necessary. Lets hope that we succeed.....eventually!

Signed and will pass on, as several have said it's a shame that this even needs to be done. Just goes to show how inept our law makers are; which is odd as so many of them have legal qualifications and degrees oozing out of their over paid butts. They are just sadly lacking in common sense and compassion.
