Miguel Ferrer lived a good life. But what many does not know is that he was a keen comic book collecter and even managed to write his own series at Marvel called Comet Man with Bill Mumy.

So if you ever get the chance to check the series out think of Miguel.

Andy Marte
October 21, 1983 – January 22, 2017

Andy Manuel Marte was a Dominican professional baseball third baseman.
He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Marte was an All-Star with the International League Buffalo Bisons in 2006.
The first Bisons' player ever to win the Triple-A All-Star Home Run Derby (2006).

Kansas City Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura has been killed in a car crash in his native Dominican Republic. Ventura, 25, helped the Royals win the World Series in 2015 and was renowned for his fastball, which he regularly threw at speeds in excess of 100mph. "He was young and talented and always brought a smile to everyone," said Royals general manager Dayton Moore.

In a separate incident, former Major League player Andy Marte, 33, also died in a car crash in Dominican Republic. Marte played for the Atlanta Braves, the Cleveland Indians and the Arizona Diamondbacks during his Major League career, before spending the last two seasons in South Korea.

Maggie Roche, one-third of family band the Roches, has died. Roche’s sister and bandmate Suzzy confirmed the news in the below Facebook note, saying she died after a long battle with cancer. She was 65. “She was a private person, too sensitive and shy for this world, but brimming with life, love, and talent,” the note reads. “I want to let you know how grateful she was to everyone who listened and understood her through her music and her songs. ... It’ll be hard for me to carry on without her.”

LTW is particularly sad to report the death of the great Overend Watts – the great bass player from Mott The Hoople and friend of the site.

Overend was famous for his spray painted silver hair and for pioneering the red stack healed boots influencing the New York Dolls. He was the band’s natural rock n roll star with a coolness about him.

Kaye is mostly known for his role as Rene in Allo Allo.

A true comedic genius.
