As it looks as if The Sun has now finished with Page 3, both online and in print, but has not made a song and dance about it as they did with Rhian Sugden's retirement above (I wonder what Vernon Kay is thinking?), it is interesting to note that according to the article here, The Sun's sales figures currently stands at 1.6m, down from 1.8m from when I wrote this post here.

It looks like the cult of celebrity pretty much rules the roost now in The Sun and, to a lesser extent, the Daily Star.

Yes looks like she was a page 3 idol castoff-lovely though. There were some right skanks who put themselves up for that competition but also some girls who we missed out on that were beautiful..also many were already established glamour models pretending to be newcomers. How far we've come from those days eh? It's a very easy come easy go profession..only really sam fox and linda lusardi bettered their careers really...a few like Gaynor Goodman/Tracy Elvik met their rich businessmen bfs then were done over by them..many just did it a few years until their mothering instincts took over. I mean, Michelle Marsh and Peta Todd-what a waste! The main charm was that every 3 years or so a whole new batch of models came in, which is where the Suns page3 demise has been signalled...few new models, same old faces in ever decreasing quality photos..

Having been in contact with Tracey Elvik via various social media over the years, I can tell you that whatever might have happened, she's in a very happy place right now, spending most of her time out in Egypt, & having fun.

Karen Baggoley is also still looking pretty good, & though still living 'up north'; Blackpool area; also spends an amazing amount of her time in the sun enjoying life with her other half.

Lisa Bangert went on to become a DJ last I heard; as did Rebekah Palmer more recently. I think that Sam Fox was lucky in being the right girl at the right time, as was Linda Lusardi, also having a good enough agent who hawked them & their talent out long enough that they were able to continue to earn decent money long after the glamour world cast them into the real world.

You have to of course feel very sorry for both Michelle Marsh & Peta Todd; one marrying a millionaire footballer, the other an Olympic Medal winning cyclist; as I'm sure their lives are truly down the old Swanee River without a paddle, as a result of that silly mistake.... lol.

Of course lots of them were going to hope to one day meet their rich prince, who'd take them off into the sunset & splash money on them; & any who were that naive not to realise that once a younger model came along that also took his eye, he'd not then pay them off maybe should've kept to that boring office job instead of being a model in the first place. Life is harsh when it comes to looks, & once they gone, they gone. Sad, but true. (i'm dreading it when my looks finally go for sure)
