Imagehost Problems, Imagebam, Imagevenue, PimpAndHost, PixHost, ImgBox etc - Page 259

Imagebam Pimp and Host, Imagetwist down yet again. Wow... what a shock (eyeroll). Perhaps it's time for VEF to consider new avenues in its recommended image hosting platforms. Not that VEF is responsible for these image hoster's patent unreliability issues of course, but just saying that based on said unreliability factor the forum could put some new hosting choices on the table. Also, and on a sincere note- big thanks to the VEF admins for always tackling these probs head on and updating the user base regarding the situations at hand- in trying technical times you all are truly a life raft of relief amidst the stormy waters of frustration. Again, thank you.

(BTW- not interested in getting into a philosophical debate with anyone about image host's histories or reliability factors - just upping a suggestion. Thx.)

I'm getting the following message when I log onto Imagebam.

Adblock Plus breaks the upload functionality. Please disable it.

I get the message on both my desktop PC and my tablet.

As a result I cannot upload images or videos.

What is the solution?

Looks like I'm guilty of being pedantic.

If you click the basic upload tab you get an additional IP address error so I tried my tablet and got the same problem.

Many sites have the Ad-block plus warning because it does cause issues
We've had our own on VEF with it nobbling things like the advanced editor

That said it might not be the reason for what your seeing but you wont know until you do a bit of trial and error

I know imagebam & sister host imgbox wont upload if I dont allow all blocked scripts via chromes script safe - from memory firefox with no script had a similar response.

Both sites appear to work with the ad-blocker working

with ublock origin working but scriptsafe disabled in chrome

Different browsers can give better results hence why some say ignore it

Personally i think your better off using many hosts rather than a few
given what took place last year

I'm using Pale Moon browser, and I'm using both uBlock and No Script, and have no problems with Imagebam or Imgbox.
