Where to start:
1. whisky bottles. They start full and some whisky gremlin must drink the contents cos I never remember drinking any of it. 2. 70's/80's euro movies, especially the alpha blue variety. Several wristfuls in every flick. 3. penalty points on my driving licence ... I aspire to collecting Vicky Vette's pants. Washed of course, you think I'm some sort of perv?? |

[QUOTE=Astatine;1009060]Where to start:

At some point in their lives, Scotch drinkers are always given a Tantulus as a present and, we all know, nothing makes wiskey evaporate more readilly than a tantulus! My own collect thing is old blues music. I don't actually subscribe to the Robert Johnson, pact with the Devil, goin' down to the crossroads thing but doesn't it give an air of surreal glam to the genre? |

Guitars, and lots of them. Three 1958 Gibson Les Pauls, a Goldtop (built the month I was born), a Sunburst and a Custom. Also a 1958 Fender Stratocaster and a Telecaster too. I also have several (nine) newer Gibsons and Fenders, including a 1965 Fender XII (twelve string) and a 1964 Gibson Firebird. I also have five Zemaitis guitars, two acoustic and three electric. Tony Zemaitis only made about 390 guitars in his lifetime. All told, I have 36 guitars, and I play them all. And I also have 14 vintage amps.

Only boring stamps (Aussie), my old mum is a collector, shells, stuffed toys, miniture bottles of different liquers etc, porcelain shoes, dolls. Thank goodness I didn't get the bug. I knew of a guy at school who collected farts in a jar, (weird) luckily I wasn't on his mate list, (as if I wanted to be).
Speaking of farts I remember of a road trip during my school years where some of my class mates had a fart lighting competion and one guy ended up with no pubes and second degree burns from the ignition??? God we are so stupid when we are young. |

You should really cherish this stuff... I collect classical and acoustic guitars like Dieter Hopf and Taylor limited. Hope some day to get my hands on a Martin D-100 Deluxe. The run of 50 is already SOLD OUT..!!!! Buying a guitar like this guarantees a good investment.. .
