RIP Hattertim. Even though I pay more attention to modern stuff, I did enjoy looking at and downloading some of the vintage stuff he posted. Another member of the hardworking and vintage old guard gone to his final reward. He will be missed.

I knew Hattertim for some time on here and he was a very nice individual, nothing false about him and also helped me out a few times especially when my memory gave up and I could not remember a gurl's name fior love nor money. It is very sad that once again another stalwart of the forum, kind of the better mods of the past has passed on, deeply missed on here by all who knew him and definitely by me.

What a great shame. Tim was very helpful filling some of those irritating gaps on my Creamcheese site from what must have been a warehouse-sized store of old mags. He was always happy to help when he could, and it's too sad that he has gone, so young.

Very sad to hear this! His contributions were always among my favourites. Furthermore, he was always very helpful, he came across as a very decent human being. He will be very sadly missed!

It was during my first 3 or 4 years being here on the forum was when i had the most exchanges between Tim and myself. Mostly due to another member of the Forum who is also missed alot, Inglorious.

As i had not long finished scanning the last of my mag collection, Ing got in touch saying about a guy giving away a large stash of mags. When I say large...it turned out to be 7 or 8 large boxes of em !! Enough to keep anyone scanning and posting for years lol This Huge collection was going for free including the postage !! It was between Tim and myself as to who wanted it and who didn't.

In the end and after a few private messages between the three of us, I had to pass, for I simply did not have the room for such a large collection and It went to Tim instead. Could not have been in better hands. What a fantastic job he made of it with his top notch scanning skills with many posts over various threads and yet he still had time to be a Mod inbetween ?!!

We exchanged some banter in those early years, mostly on birthdays and on THAT stash. He came across a very decent, approachable, friendly good natured and helpful guy. Like Max mentioned in his post. I too I'm guilty of not being in contact since those early years, something Im guilty of with many of the great friends I made on here.

Then your reminded how life can suddenly change and throw a curveball like this. A total shock to feel we have lost another beloved member of this forum. He, like the rest of this ever growing list, made a very HUGE contribution in posting and to the upkeep of V.E.F. He will be greatly missed indeed.

My very deepest sympathies to his family and friends. R.I.P Tim

Tim was an amazing archivist. His house was/is packed with LPs, CDs, DVDs, football memorabilia and film posters. It should be made into a museum.
