So whilst there are many of us who lament the passing of the overgrown lady-gardens from the old mags are there things that the ladies miss about men from those golden days?

I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly, but if it was like "What do women like about vintage males?" my answer is actually very similar:

70s dudes = 1) natural, normal body-build 2) beards 3) long hair.

SADLY I haven't yet found a lot of stuff that actually shows them males...
LUCKILY beards and hair are hip again nowadays...

Well I do miss the story-lines and the production values of vintage porn as the modern stuff is all gonzo and a little too obsessed with close-ups for my liking. However, I am not sure I miss the men of vintage porn too much as not many of them were particularly well endowed and a soft cock was a regular feature, which is not very passionate when the guy struggles to keep it up.
