Adam Sandler's movies -- especially "Happy Gilmore" and "Billy Madison". Also "Black Sheep", with Chris Farley and David Spade. And Norm Macdonald's "Dirty Work"
. . . all mostly hated by girlfriends everywhere, but loved by me and other guys. |

Still from all accounts he`s pretty humble. Makes sure to hire his buddies for respectable fees wherever possible. They then go mess around for a month all expenses paid. Plus mostly the films turn a profit. So good luck to him. Quote:
Attractive ladies. Decent over the top villain . Seen it a couple times. Even Joey is ok-ish. The kids though. They`re bearable. That bleeding monkey alien thing however Can't believe they made it into a toy

The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961)
This is universally panned all round and it's easy to see why. For starters, it stars Tor Johnson as the Beast, so you can tell the quality (or lack thereof). The voice over is the sort of voice over that is clearly adlibbed by someone who hasn't got a clue (I believe it was the producer who did it). In order to save money, it was filmed without sound and the dialogue was added later. This results in the casts heads either being cut off or they were filmed with their backs to the camera. Add to the above extra-judicial murder (or at least attempted murder) and a top secret base with no security AT ALL and you have a bad film. However, it falls into the "it's so bad it's entertainingly bad" category. I've developed a liking for crap sci-fi and horror movies from the 50s and 60s and this is one I quite like watching for a laugh. |

Rambo 3 (1988)
Rambo & Richard Crenna actually fighting together is cool, that said them standing alone out in the open against the Soviet Army near the end did go farther into preposterous territory then the rest of the series did. Scene with Rambo with the glowing arrows in the cave is great. Complaints/mockery about "Rambo is working with the Taliban" is crap. Yes the Taliban splintered off from the Mujahideen but at the time of this movie they weren't suicide bombing, civilian killing monsters. Wikipedia says... "Veteran mujahideen confronted this radical splinter group in 1996" I don't know what "confronted" means in this context (did they actually battle each other?) but if they had all always been evil terrorist they wouldn't have any reason to confront each other. I often enjoy more off-beat movies with story lines that weave in some dark comedic value.
No Country for Old Men, Fargo, and Raising Arizona, all by the Coen brothers, are three films that come to mind. |
