For those not in the know she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) I've lost a friend through that disease, he went downhill very fast but it affects people differently depending on the severity, we can only hope medical science comes up with a cure someday

Yes, I also have a friend who suffers from MS and the symptoms can come and go and peak and trough in severity, from minor disorientation to complete incapacitation.
Basically, the disease isn't necessarily one that simply gets worse and worse, until... My friend manages it through a strict (and highly complex, esoteric) diet and a complete abstinence from booze (she was a right old lush when I first met her over 25 years ago). Oh, and meds as well, obviously. It's true that she's become a bit of a hermit in recent years and that's definitely as a result of her MS though. I'm not at all sure how it affects Ms. Blair, but I have been aware that she's been talking about it in the media in that last few years and I can only wish her well. |
