You are not alone, although I can think of a multitude of other reasons aside from a multi-million dollar plebiscite that potentially could make things worse.
Still you can't expect much from a such a fiscally irresponsible crew, as the Turnbull government.

One of my major hates is the Australia tax, on top of GST and other taxes, for a country that averages 75cents Aust exchange rate for every American dollar.

Not to mention that Turnbull will happily side with Trump on whatever outcome North Korea has.

No it's not. My father died of head injuries sustained from being hit by a cyclist. Now tell me - how many people have died from being hit by a pedestrian?

Untrue. I have a friend who spent weeks in hospital after being collected by a cyclist as she unloaded her car. She still has memory loss and mobility problems. If Sam Burgess had tackled her at full tilt she'd have been in better shape. Cyclists can do a lot of damage - and they do.

You Australians have it good -- trust me, $425 is nothing compared to some places

In Germany they have a different system. If you cycle through a red light, they will check if you have a driving license. If you do, you will get points on the license and could end up being banned from driving -- that's for a cycling offense!
