Just wish TM and palo could find out the hard way
I'm sixty five, lived here all my life and never been stun or bitten by anything. Is that I wonder, down to my habit of running away from any threatening situation screaming like a girlie, or because we exaggerate for the tourists.

I remember getting stung by bull ants/inch men at around age five in the crumbling remains of the house foundation next door. After running to mum for a Band-Aid I went straight out and did it again.

I'm still that way with women.

My cousin was like that. Could always be counted on to drive the dog nextdoor into a homicidal frenzy by banging on the fence and put a bullant from one nest into another one.
He is still alive.

I know from reading that Australia has bed bugs. America has way too many. Since Australia has so much unused land in the outback, maybe Hiram Big could bring over a tanker shipful of these nasty critters and dump them in the outback. Hiram would pay for the priviledge!

Maybe a little

I did get bitten quite badly once by Bull Ants not too far from where you live, The You Yangs, wasn't doing anything stupid to annoy or disturb them, they would have been about a half inch long I guess ..... had a few get right up onto the fleshy part of my thigh .... it hurt a bit and was red for a day or two

I was thinking more about dumping them in the outback so your nasty critters like spiders, ants, lizards and other critters could feast on them. Then no more bed bugs to bite people.

Global trade has brought bed bugs back into prominence in the United States, but our Indian migrants and visitors, especially, have created a boon for the pest control people.
