What do you believe in ?

No don`t sweat it out fellow members and especially nervy Mods as this isn`t a religious thread , as who in their right mind would start up one of those

Nah this thread concerns what you believe in , and what you don`t .

Now me i don`t believe in love , mainly as to my knowledge i haven`t experienced it . Not LOVE love anyway , as sure i love my Cat , love Kentucky Fried Chicken , love Pepsi Max etc . But i`ve never felt that "Oh my god i can`t eat or sleep i love her so much " feeling about a woman . I mean for all i know the feeling doesn`t even exist ?.
Alright i know that lust exists as i`ve certainly had those " Oh god i can`t eat or sleep as i`m too busy standing outside her bedroom window wanking " feeling plenty of times

. Yet heart singing and soaring love ?, nope.
So how can i believe in it

Still i do believe in fate or for want of an easier word luck , although is it being lucky in myself or really somebody else being unlucky and me getting the benefit ?. Take earlier today for instance , by pure chance i noticed three men and a baby was coming on CH4 , so ask a question the answer to which quickly leads me on an adventure into deepest darkest dangerous erm ok it was a Boots pharmacy ,but the crowds there were damn unruly .Anyway then it led me to my GF`s , then lead us both to the pharmacy again albeit a different one as i didn`t want to look a complete mug .Then eventually to her doctors front door , then back to a third pharmacy and finally to a water dispenser

Now all i can do is trust in fate

Although the ladies been a bit of a bitch to me lately

Anyway that`s one thing i currently (Well you never know right ?) don`t believe in (Love) , and one i do (Fate).

Well, I do believe in love, in regards to how you'd describe it towards a woman. Very much so not so long back. I guess that's a topic that's pretty hard to put into words from a personal viewpoint....

I do believe there's purpose to life. Synchronicities have abounded in mine where sheer coincidence becomes more than unlikely an explanation. Life itself and (admittedly a bias of mine but still relevant) music underlines a complex system of design IMO.

Table tennis bats and grenades are not such a good mix. In my youth I once won a competition playing said game with balls but back then hand eye coordination was still kinda favourable....:/

Ah but that`s the other great thing about grenade-pong. you have to maintain rigid hand to eye coordination .Because if you lose the result leads to hand and eye separation

Hmmmm, I think with this form of 'pong' I would suddenly develop this highly aware sense of "Let's get the hell out of here" aspect of coordination...

The first thing, taht came to my mind is hate; why? simple, there is no 100% guarantee to find someone who loves you, but you will find, sooner or later, someone that hates you!!!

ty skull for your pov bout love. i have my own pov on that. what is real love? it s an overdose on hormones, that makes you feel in an subtile way high, when a special person is near you, not more or less. so, i say, love is an addiction, similiar as alcohol or drugs, the way love hurts is similiar to a "turkey" a junkie has. when you are far away from your "drug", your organism stops the overdose, and you ... pah. no need to say, that noone on the streets would bring his money to a dealer, that sells you such a bad dope, like the human nature.

During my oh so fruitful college years, I was introduced to existentialist thinkers such as Nietzsche, Camu and Kierkegaard. Exploring this philosophical approach to life led me to the belief that our realities are created individually and that things such as love, hate, sadness, pain, anger, joy are all abstractions. Just because someone hasn't had the same exact experience as I, doesn't mean to say that their experience was less valid or intense.

I could, of course, be completely wrong and our fates are controlled by the great flying spaghetti monster in the sky. You never know.
