She was an American actress (1914-2008) whose powerful father managed to get his daughter a career on the silver screen indirectly through a Warners Brother executive attending one of the Chicago White Sox games, the baseball club he owned.

The petite green eyed beauty obviously caught the executives eye more than the game.

She took up a contract with Warners and after overcoming stage fright managed to become a B-movie queen.
