Women speak more clearly and less trivial words.

To get back to this British accent thing. A perfect example is the great movie "Zulu". I can clearly understand it when a young Michael Caine speaks. Also for Stanley Baker and Nigel Green, and others, but there were many other actors in that film that I could hardly understand what was being said. I had to see the film several times to finally understand all the spoken words by all the different actors.

Do you understand well the Queen ?
She's the only one who is really important to understand in England.

Trailmaster - In Zulu some of the actors speak with a Welsh accent, some with South African/Afrikaans accents and a lot of them speak Zulu. Bit trickey for everyone that bit.

I have lived on Tyneside for twenty five years now and still have problems understanding some of the Geordies. Blyth and Ashington can be incomprehensible, especially after drink has been taken.
