Help if possible with picture background

I have a few pictures where the background does not look nice, these are nudes of my wife.
Does any one have any software that could change the background?
All help appreciated.

I haven't tried this, but have used GIMP for many other photo-editing projects.

GIMP is a very useful tool, with the massive advantage over Photoshop that it's free

You can also import Photoshop brushes and effects to use once you get the hang of it.

I did this in GIMP in a couple of minutes using the Magic Lasso tool to select around the middle girl, then bw'd the background, but I could quite easily have removed the rest and added whatever I wanted.

I am not very good with that sort of software and was hoping that someone might volunteer to assist, if it's a big ask apologies.

+ realistically, you want the largest, cleanest pic you can get from the source - I'm guessing that's analog film rather than digital?
Bang up the contrast and the saturation to allow for printing washout.

if that is analog, I'd look at getting the negative processed and scanned to the highest resolution you can - pixels and detail doesn't magically appear to fill in the gaps if you blow up a 6x4 pic to canvas size, despite what Blade Runner might lead you to believe
