Imagehost Grabber and someimage
Hi all;
Until recently, I have been using imaghost grabber as a firefox add-on to successfully download someimage . com files. A few days ago it suddenly stopped. download window opens but no files are listed or downloaded. Tried my other downloader downthemall, which works on most hosts but it never worked on someimage. Any ideas or another downloader to get someimage files? Thanks. |

Boatguy in particular gave some useful information in this thread:
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t28...n-threads.html I had the same problem with both someimage and imgbox I had to open Firefox->Tools->Imagehost Grabber->Host file Editor select someimage in the top pulldown menu and enter the number of Max.Threads I wanted. 5 is a good number.

So once again the latest Firefox update as disabled Imagehost Grabber.
Before, I could just go into 'about:config' and set the value to false which would re-enable IHG but now I can't even find IHG listed in the components. Anyone out there have any RECENT updates on how to get around this? Much appreciated in advance. |

This post is about Firefox 45 & ImageHost Grabber, not specifically about someimage.
I updated to Firefox 45 and found it had once again disabled IHG. Luckily there's an updated version of IHG 1.6.5.5.1-signed available from here. Having updated IHG to that version I found I had to restart Firefox 45 twice (!) but after that IHG worked fine. The "signed" aspect of that version of IHG is important as a) users no longer have to faff about in Firefox's config just to tell it to stop being so precious, & b) because it seems that starting from Firefox 46 (currently in alpha) such config override/end-user choice will no longer be available--i.e. "signed" add-ons will be the only ones able to be used. edit: the above is an old version of IHG. The latest version, 1.7.0.3 available from here, does not work with Firefox 45. Last edited by effCup; March 19th, 2016 at 10:59 AM.. |

Yes, I'm currently trialling Pale Moon. Gmail grizzles each time one logs in with PM, saying it's an outdated & "unsupported" version of FF, but so-far that's not too serious.

Anyway - as it seems, this workaround will no longer be possible once FF 46 is going to be released EDIT 1: Forget what I have written - it worked yesterday and now it does not anymore EDIT 2: Removed 1.7.0.3 > switched to 1.6.5.5. >> bang, it works with FF45 now...Hooray!!! .
