question about subscribing to threads - Page 2

herbsmith, if you never have used folders before, you have to move all your subscribed threads to those folders where those threads should go to. this doesn't happen automatically.

In your subscriptions list, just checkmark all threads which should belong to one single folder, then choose "Move to folder" function at the bottom and click "Go". in the next step select the folder you want to move the selected threads to. Finish this action with "Move Items". Repeat this step until all your subscribed threads are moved to the correct folder.

and sure : in userCP allways all updated threads are displayed, no matter if you've placed them to folders or not. but if you have organized your subscriptions with folders, you can check each folder for related updates. just select the desired folder in your subscription menu:

Hi there, is there a way to search ONLY your subscribed threads? I love the "Subscribe to this thread" function but searching my own subscriptions does not seem possible.

second line in the Search In Forums box, bottom right, is Search Subscribed Forums.
That should be what you're looking for.

Thanks Jazz67 but i had tried that and it didn't work.
The two attempts I tried were for actresses whose name would be in the post, not in the thread title. Maybe it's not that intuitive?

Subscribing to Forums is a little different than subscribing to Threads, so that's probably why that didn't work. I don't think there is an option to search only in subscribed threads. But if you have an idea of what thread it might be in you can go to that thread and use the "Search This Thread" function (in the bar at the top of the thread page next to Thread Tools where you subscribed in the first place). Don't know if that's helpful but I suspect its the only way to search specific threads.

Hoping somebody can me figure this one out. I think I'm having a "stupid day", so forgive me if this either doesn't make sense or I'm missing something obvious.

In my Subscribed Threads I have a folder I named "Requests". It's where I store the few requests - Model ID or a film I'm seeking - I have made.
In "Requests" I have the movie Cold Desire, which I posted in the Classic Movie Request forum:

As you can see I am subscribed to just my post, not the entire thread.

Recently I requested the movie Filofax in the Modern Movie Request section and now I cannot work out how to only subscribe to my post. As you can imagine, it's a very large thread and I'd rather only see my request.

Greatly appreciated!

As far as I know you can only Subscribe to a thread, not an individual post within that thread.

Each request in the Classic Movie Request section of the forum is a thread onto itself, and in the case of your 'Cold Desire' request you are the thread starter. Yes, it is also a post, the first post of the thread you started.

There is no way to subscribe to an individual post such as the one you made in Modern Section Requests because it is set up differently. All you could do is bookmark your post for future reference...

However, you will not know if you receive a reply without checking that section of the forum on a regular basis.

Is there some way to know which threads you most recently subscribed to?
Some days I find a film I really wanna see and subscribe because at that time it's inconvenient to grab.
By the next day I've forgotten its name and/or stars and it's among the 500 subscribed threads.
I've looked and User CP is no help, only showing recent Thanks.

Speaking of which, thanks to anybody who can share the solution!
