Because the women were hotter, it does take me back to my teens and the self discovery of your own sexuality and what initially got you turned on - in fact I can remember my first wack off - I was looking at Kathy Ireland in the swimsuit issue and dry handing it and from that day on those images of her have been burned in my mind. I feel guilty because she is a devout Christian and very proper. In fact one time I tweeted her calling her Ms Ireland and she replied “Call me Kathy” WOW! Hahhaha
But the fashion and big hair was what I grew up on so I love it. |

I love vintage erotica as it was made at the times when it was so risqué and the women had an innate sense of naughtiness, showing their private parts to others knowing that it would have been scandalous at that time. I talk about pre-1970 of course, but the subject of lesbianism and anal sex just was so taboo in the 40s, 50s and 60s, to see it on screen was mind blowing. When the seventies came along and porn was no longer illegal to produce, it was still an art form placed in drama or artistic scenarios with the aim to produce something almost classical and still evocative. Nowadays the more extreme the sex is the more they think the viewer will pay to see it. It's going too far. The black and white loops and scenes are also sometimes more evocative than the later technicolor productions, as they give the sense of retro with eroticism.

Why I like Vintage
I like vintage because my wife posed nude for me in the late seventies and eighties thinking no one else would get to see them. Now that there is scanning technology some of my wife's nude photos pop up online and I find it exciting and fascinating thinking some of her in naked poses will be around forever.

I recently heard someone in an interview speaking about why people as they grow out of adolescence and young adulthood, tend to dislike or actually despise current music. She mentioned that you like what you grew up with because that's the very first time that you associated music with emotions, your surroundings, your friends, your experiences. As such, music that you listened to from that time can never do the same thing. You will never associate it with coming of age or seeing life from a bigger perspective, simply because you can only do those things once. That tends to give that music more value to you and a special place in your brain that cannot be replaced. Those first bands/songs/gigs set a high bar, one which cannot be surpassed in most cases, if not in reality, at least that's our perception, and perceptions ARE reality.
For me, same with vintage porn. I came of age about two or three years before the VHS phenomenon, the last couple of years of the porn cinema experience. Those images of Veronica Hart, John Holmes, Seka, etc were my first. I can appreciate (and I do) more modern porn, but seeing those particular people fuck, in that particular time and place cannot be surpassed by anything that didn't affect my brain in the same manner, when my brain had nothing like that to compare it to. Not sure if that all makes sense. Last edited by baconracer; June 9th, 2019 at 01:03 PM.. |

80s/90s lingerie was sexier and the models and actresses seemed to enjoy their job more

Because it takes me back to when my hormones started to explode .
All I could think of was naked women , and when my next wank would be . Just lately tho , because of a mental breakown and heart issues , (and the medication involved ) I have all but lost my sex drive . I'm hoping that looking at these pictures might stir it up again ...Here's hoping |

I just recently rewatched Tail Enders (1985) and while it has nice quality I have to say it was a bit disappointing when I saw it was padded with audio editing and some repeated footage, I like the overall feeling but even while being more real I just wonder why doing that, maybe modern porn is just less obvious in that regard in exchange for a very poor atmosphere?

I've already posted in this thread in 2008, over 10 years ago as I write this, but I've recently realised when comparing photosets from the early 70s when I first started buying porn as a teenager of fifteen to current photo sets, and watching seventies US porn film classics to which I have only recently been introduced by a friend, that the early 1970s were the last time young women's fashion commonly had elegance.
Strangely enough, the 1970s were also the decade when men's fashions were at their worst. I far prefer to see women in soft- and hardcore porn wearing and removing floaty 70s maxi-dresses or well-cut elegant trouser suits than the 'urban', ' sportswear' and even 'pornified' fashions popular today.
