I have probably said this before, but I have always thought that Rage Against The Machine were mediocre at best, and narrow-minded at worst. Zack de la Rocha is one of the most annoying Mexicans ever. His vocals are shit, he only ever sings about leftism (no pussy or Corvettes, even if he's a rock star) and they think that dated references such as KKK police chiefs are somehow insightful lyrics. Plus everyone in the band was supposed to be either vegetarian or vegan, because as Zack once said in the media, "It's an issue I feel very strongly about..."

Unless you're already a leftist, or want to be converted to leftism by a band that displays the sickle and hammer while pretending that their singer is the second coming of Che Guevara, I would not even own tapes or CDs by RATM. I admit that I bought their debut release on cassette circa 1991-92 when I was in high school; I thought the music was okay at first, but did not figure out they were leftists and very preachy until about 1994-95. I was more open to lefty/punk/environmental ideas in the '90s, but for bands that sing about them while occasionally singing about other subjects (punk anarchism, drug use, the Australian Outback, etc.), I prefer Warrior Soul and Midnight Oil to RATM.

BTW, Midnight Oil are trying to make a comeback with their music, but have so far limited their social issues to Donald Trump and Rex Tillerson, who once led their archenemy Exxon in the corporate world.

Jeremy Corbyn.
I have a sneaking admiration for the man because he has stuck to his often, very unpopular, guns
But... the Jezza hype machine has built him up into something hugely inflated and full of holes which need investigating very quickly by anyone interested in Western Democracy.

I feel the same, except for Rogue One. I thought Rogue One was amazing and it was exactly what I (personally) wanted out of the franchise.

@Chris+Jack: I agree that the Star Wars franchise is declining.

The original trilogy will live forever; the prequels showed how Anakin became Vader and how the Empire took over, but with annoying characters such as Jar-Jar Binks and Darth Plagueis the Wise. [Anyone who knows that Darth Plagueis is even a Star Wars character must be a nerd...]

And finally, The Farce Awakens (aka. Episode 7) was so derivative and so predictable that George Lucas hated it, and any viewer with a mind can see that there are only so many times you can blow up the Death Star, even if they call it Starkiller Base. Disney is going to have a problem making Episode 9 because of what happened in Episode 8...

To me, though, that explains more as to why Clooney is an A-List celebrity than an A-list movie star. Like, even as far back as the 1990s when Clooney's bankability as a movie star was rising, I never thought particularly highly of the films he was appearing in...or his acting abilities. He has precious little range.

I was 7 when the first Star Wars came out in 1977. I saw it in the theater and thought it was neat.

I was never nearly as ga-ga over it as a lot of my chums back then were, though. I liked The Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi a little less so. I think part of it was with Empire Strikes it was...what, 1980? So, I was 10 years old and could still get into it. By the time Return came out, I was 13 and looking for different things from movies.

I was growing up, but Star Wars wasn't.

I saw...was it The Phantom Menace? In 1997, or 1998? The one with Jar Jar Binks? Jar Jar Binks was perhaps the most egregious example in the film of why it didn't work, but I didn't care about the rest of the flick, either. I saw the other 2 prequels on video, and it was a case of diminishing returns for me.

Didn't bother to see The Force Awakens in the theater. Only saw it fairly recently at home. I thought it was certainly a step up from the late 1990s/early 2000s prequels, and it was a fun viewing. Found I didn't really care much about any of the new characters save for the girl Rey (whom I actually thought was well-portrayed) and the plot was basically a rehash of A New Hope. Rouge One was a bit bland and pointless. Haven't seen the most recent one, which I probably will at some point down the line if only for the Rey storyline.

However, if another Star Wars movie is never made again I won't feel any sense of loss over it.

Also, James Franco.

I have not bought a ticket on the James Franco train.

Having seen some of the movies he has been in and been exposed to some of his writing, I find him neither profound or prolific in terms of quality. He comes across as an at best marginally talented, slightly-stoned hipster slacker. His fans will inevitably say to his detractors that Franco is SO talented and SO profound and SO deep that if one doesn't appreciate him one is simply too thick and doesn't "get" him.

I don't think that's the case, though. I think Franco is just sophomorically pretentious, and hasn't displayed enough talent even strictly within the realm of acting to get a fraction of the praise he has, much less in terms of his other non-acting endeavors.

I know this is going to sound really whacked out, but Clooney is married to a tranny. There is not one shred of evidence or photo that shows his "wife" carrying to term, just like Mike the Gorilla Obama

I don't see what is nerdy about the darker gritty warfare take from Rogue One.

The guy is a total fraud. He comes up with an intriguing premise and can't figure out how to make a real story out of it, so he weirds it up instead.
