Anyone know this creatures from music hell outside Germany too? I don't want to search a music video sample now at YouTube - I'm afraid that I'll get a bluescreen after loading their video!

... and all those other dorky 'Gangsta Rap' stereotypes. A special blockhead bonus goes to all those 15 year old pimpled loud-mouthed German Rap and Hip Hop striplings that seriously want to talk about 'Ghetto Survival' and 'Gang wars' in their songs!

I have 2 big problems with this music style:

1. It influences mostly teenagers from lower class and often intensifies their constrained polarized thinking and violent lifestyle. Rap lyrics often glorify criminal acts. When we discuss the increase of violence by today's youth we always talk about splatter movies and especially about video games. But we should discuss the effect of such brutalized and pessimistic song lyrics on young people too!

Initially Rap was the music of the ghetto people that need to battle for their existence. Today's 'Gangsta' Rap is guided by a industry of hypocritical artists and avaricious music labels that squeeze money out of naive kiddies and teens. There may be ambitious, musically imaginative rap with intelligent, constructive lyrics - sorry, I haven't ever heard of it!

2. Compared with Classical music, Rock and especially Jazz there's no real progression in Rap. It's hard to believe that Jazz and Rap had the same origins!

Boston:

Every one of their songs sounds like it was recorded at the same session. And the "classic rock" radio stations always play the same 2-3 songs from their first two albums. Why they're considered a "great rock band" is beyond me.

John Fogarty/CCR: His voice is pure shit on toast and their "swamp rock" style of music is painful at times to listen to. I'll admit to liking one or two of their songs but the rest are trash.

Just because they're popular doesn't mean they are goods.
