One of my favorite weapons-and so accurate-especially on single shot mounted on the tripod. Nearly 40 years on I can still remember all the specs, weights RoF etc hammered into us on course by our instructors....mind you having to run laps around the parade ground holding a 28-lb .50cal barrel at arms length above your head if you stuffed up on the gun drills was a great learning incentive..... |

Our RNZAC vehicle mounted ones used solenoid firing-but we always carried the manual backplate and tripod stowed on board-just in case the situation required you to dismount the guns for ground use.
