But as I wrote, I use Avast, and I have had no such warning. I even even entered VEF through Google as you said you did. I don't think your issue has anything to do with VEF. Perhaps you ought to run a Spybot scan: http://sourceforge.net/projects/spybot/ |

VEF & Avast
I run Avast ant-virus & Comodo Internet Security except the anti-virus component since Comodo, at least the free edition anyway, used not to include anti-virus.
My browser of choice is Firefox with the Adblock plug in. For the last few weeks Avast kicks in as soon as I try to access either the VEF home page or any other sub-forum front page linked by Google e.g. Classic Pornstars, Softcore Models. The only way I can access VEF is to disable Avast, load the home page or a sub-forum front page, log in then re-enable Avast. If I forget to select ' Remember Me ' on the log in page so the session times out I have to go through the process again. Once logged in occasionally Avast blocks a thread. |

If you want, you could open Avast's general settings, and then add VEF into the exclusions box.

Avast still brings up a blocked site message but does not also block the VEF front page. The block is for pirrans.com/.................. URL:Mal2 This is the site / gate domain mentioned in an earlier post. |

Ive been getting the same threat message but only when I try to subscribe to threads. It was fine the other day but now its just threat detected all over the place.
It only seems to be happening to me in this thread so far? I tried to subscribe to it and I keep getting threat notifications. http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...=carmella+bing Last edited by thedrifter; June 4th, 2015 at 08:40 PM.. |

I'm getting the same thing too with Avast.
I can't got to the Softcore Models forum at all but I can go everywhere else on here. http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/f21...re-models.html Edit: Now I can go to the Softcore models forum but can't go to the Homepage. If go to it I get a page error. If I try to open it in a new window or tab I get a blank page with no address or anything i the address bar. Last edited by AdamP; June 9th, 2015 at 07:35 AM.. |

This seems to be a recurring theme with Avast which crops up every two or three months and disappears after a couple of weeks. The advice in the past from those who are less technically challenged than me was to run malwarebytes as a double check and if that doesn't detect anything weird, stay calm. Incidentally, on previous occasions, it didn't seem to make any difference if you were using the paid for version of Avast, or the free one.

Every time this threads come up to 100% is Avast involved. It´s annoying. Why are the other programms detect nothing? Alarm for nothing.
