Lurkers and others

would it be of help to get the general population of viewers to post or contribute to this forum if there were a simpler way for them to do so? i do post and it is a pain in the rear but worth the time and effort to me. It may not be so for the person who has few items but are not available on the board. suggestions or ideas how we might make it possible for them to contribute without the hassle of the file sharing sites?

I think you'll find that those who want to post do so regardless of any difficulties.

Unfortunately a large proportion of the population are hard and fast parasites who delight in the thought of getting a freebie without having to exert any effort themselves ...

I think some lurk for a bit get the feel of a site and then lose interest and do not remain as contributing members

Well yes. You only have to click on the members list to see that there are apparently 165,737 members.
However you rarely ever see more than a couple of thousand online at any one time
I think it's time for the administration to trim the members list to give a more accurate reflection of the numbers.

Theres only ever 1 solution and thats to find someone they trust on the forum in the real world thats close by to do it for them using snail mail

I've seen it done on a few Celeb sites for rare stuff only available in that country

I'd suspect there are thousands who have a small stash of ancient VHS tapes but the thought of having to buy new technology,learn how to use it,convert it,upload it,is something thats not all that appealing except maybe to the active collector

Posting pictures is very easy. Once you have understood the easy procedure of how to upload your files to a filehost you're merrily posting away.

Yes you do have to put some, although not strenuous, effort into it, but it's all worthwhile in the end.

This forum, from what I can tell, is the most stable on the net. By that I mean that this forum has been on line with a large membership longer than any other I have found. Previously I had posted my own photos I had taken at Nude Photography workshops at 2 forums. First they were posted at Et-Buzz.com. Out of the blue with no warning the Forum just disappeared. Next I posted at Buffy's Graveyard and again it just vanished with no warning. My posts can be found Here.

Originally I tried to post composite images that I created using picture sets that I have found online. I have collected a huge (over 100,000)amount of pics shot against a solid green or blue background form all over the net(including some from VEF). I started a thread in the General Modern Section for composite images. My first post was about 30 images, half were the originals and half the new images I created. I posted them to judge if there was any interest. My post was taken down by a moderator in short order. I was told that my post was a duplicate post, even though the composites were unique. In the exchange of PMs that followed at one point a moderator suggested that I was trying take credit for the original work. Completely absurd since I posted the intact original ( including watermarks) alongside of my composites. I pointed out that in the USA my composites would be covered under the Fair Use Doctrine as a derivative work. To which I was told that I was just making that up when in fact it is settled case law. I changed the images so much that had I not posted the originals and labeled the post as composites there was no way anyone short of the original photographer would have recognized them as a duplicate to any set posted on VEF. This whole process of exchanging PMs took most of 2 weeks.

It took me almost a month to decide that I would post my other type of content, my original nudes, here. They seem to be well received so far. A Few weeks ago I had a moderator removed a cross post (a sample post with 5 pics and a link) that I posted in a thread for "The biggest natural breast". The model I posted was 36c/d. I am guessing that the moderator did not think 36c/d was not big enough to be posted in that thread although I could not get anything more out of him than they don't fit in that thread. I tried asking how were they inappropriate for that thread but all he would say was that they weren't appropriate. We exchanged at least 6 PMs each but I could not get him to be specific. He might as well have said they are inappropriate because I said they were and I'm the mod. Early on I had a simple misunderstanding with a mod over the size of my sig. image. Another mod told me to be patient, that not all the mods were native English speakers. Well I checked the profile page of the mod who pulled my cross post, he was an Australian teacher. I know they sound funny but that is English they are speaking down there, right?

My point with this post is that actually posting is easy but dealing with some of the knit picking that goes on with the mods on this board ( ok I have only posted here and the General Modern section, maybe it is different with other mods in other sections)can be quite a pain. It shouldn't be. In the case of the composite images I wanted to post so what if they were in part a duplicate post. We are all adults here. If you collected online porn for any length of time you have down loaded the same pics/vids more than once. It happens. This forum does not host pics so even a post with the Max 125 images only takes up a small amount of space. Simple rule for mods: if a member takes the time to make a post a mod should only remove it if they can provide the URL to an exact duplicate ( not a partial duplication) of that post. My second issue was with the cross post. Another case of a mod knit picking. The thread was titled something like the biggest natural tits. There was no size limit in the post and even if you agree with the mod where was the harm. The cross post was only up for a couple of hours and it received 8 "Thanks". It would appear that at least 8 people who were viewing that thread found it appropriate.

It is these types of things that drive away active posters away. Besides the 2 forums I have mentioned I have been a member of numerous other boards and I have never ran across anything as annoying as what I described above. I am not going away because I am hard headed and the forum's stability is a huge plus for me which may make me the exception. Posters are giving away free content, in my case my own original content, they shouldn't have to deal with this kind of aggravation.

PS: I just read what I am about to post here and I fell I have to add that I have had the pleasure of exchanging PMs with a number of mods and I want to thank all the mods for the time they put in to make this Forum better, and yes that includes the 3 or 4 who have been a pain in my posterior

Had to add 2 things:

1) In regards to the composites I tried to post, I believe that I had changed the image so much that I considered posting them without the originals or the composite label to prove that they were unique and not duplicates. Thats how ridiculous I fell that decision (which included a super Mod) was. I chose not to because I did not want to be banned when I pointed out to the mods what I had done. If anyone reading this would like to see examples of the composites I make feel free to PM me.

2) When it comes to on-line sharing of things like moves and music I have been a leech since I received an email from my ISP saying they had received a notice that I was violating copyright laws. Since then I have only taken and have shared very little. I wonder if any potential posters to porn forums have similar fears. I have always wondered why so little has been done by the porn industry to stop sharing. If you look at the list of banned content you see a lot of individual Model sites but not a whole lot of the larger sites or studios. I guess the small sites are hurt worse by the sharing of their content.
