Filefactory.... - Page 8

Had a scan thru this thread and don't think this problem has arisen so:

I'm new to File Factory, just got a premium account - every now and then when I click on a file link it doesn't download, it just sends me to a blank page with a url that starts like this http://s5.filefactory.com/.......

When I log out of FF Premium it seems I can download these files fine as a Free User however. I'm using Firefox by the way. Is this a common issue or is it just me?

Any help greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Also once I'm already signed in to my premium account, sometimes when I try to download a file an Authentication Required popup appears asking me to provide my username and password again. "A user name and password are being requested by http://s5.filefactory.com. The site says: "FileFactory Premium""

Seems to be completely random. Most files download just fine but like 1 in 10 the above happens.

I'm happy downloading files from FileFactory as a free, unregistered user (unticking the box to use their downloader) - except with the link given in this post: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...34#post2534034

Whenever I try, I get a message that all free download slots are in use, but this is clearly not the case because I can then download a different file from another link. Or does it mean that all free slots for that server are in use? I would PM the poster that the link isn't working, as he suggests in his signature, except that I'm not entirely sure that that is the case. Has anyone else managed to download this file?

I just tried, and the download started successfully.

All free download slots on this server are currently in use =

In order to provide the best possible experience for our Premium members, we limit the number of simultaneous connections for free and anonymous users. The limit is for each server, not FileFactory as a whole. If you receive this error message when downloading a file, you still may be able to access files on another server, it all depends on the load on the server at that particular time.

We do this to ensure that our servers do not become overloaded.

My most recent experience - 12 files - slots busy versus 188 files accessed first time no hassles - took about 2 weeks and constantly going back to get all 12 - patience is key

I'd find a file was accessible,stuff up the download come back in 30 minutes and find it inaccessible
so the server it was on obviously had some some pretty popular content

Every filefactory link I have clicked on for the last two days brings up an error or shows the file as 0b . even in various downloaders . Anyone found a way round this ?

No, I have no problems. It might possibly have something to do with their site revamp. I think the refreshed site became available today.

Patience given they've just changed over

Its almost akin to using a browser in beta stage - issues will arise

The message on their download page says their expecting problems but one shouldnt jump to the conclusion that the problem is at their end automatically.

Having tried 2 files today - palemoon browser - manually

- one said - No download data was returned
- after the countdown / hitting the download button

- the other went through without any issues - edit then died at 180mb of 350mb
- new download re-started with just the 60 second countdown no extra waiting just completed

- next download started 7 minutes after 1st finished no waiting just 60 second countdown

- until they update to take in the hosts changes they wont work and probably explains why there is no waiting time between downloads done manually

FF FF has been upgraded. You cant dl anymore others files?
