The thing is I've already made up my mind has to what I'm going for, and I just wish that all these so-called experts (on both sides, might I add) would just allow the general public to actually think for themselves instead of bombarding everyone on reasons why they think that anyone who dares to disagree with them is WRONG, which just smacks of arrogance in my opinion (and like I said, both sides have been doing).

By now I don't really what all these politicians and businessmen say, I've made up my mind and that's it.
It confuses me why you read a thread that you are "sick to death of". Are you being forced against your will to read newspapers, watch news programmes, read forums? I hate Big Brother and the like but I do not impose my disdain on those that follow those programmes on tv and news articles.
You may well have decided quickly how you will vote but while there is the possibility of someone being undecided or changing their opinion the circus will go on.
Relish in the fact you are part of history being created for generations to come and allow people to have the discussions to help decide.

There's that word again

Major and Blair say an EU exit could split the UK
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politic...endum-36486016

They suggested a Leave vote may re-open Scotland's independence issue and put Northern Ireland's "future at risk" by threatening its current stability.

Well if public opinion does not seem to be going your way throw a few more scares into the mix

It all boils down to each individual's choice and we will make it on both current information and our own experiences and remembrances of the EU.

I agree with what benboe said at the end, this vote no matter which way it goes will be a turning point, the Remain side have a lot to do in a very short time if they want to change people's minds, the constant drip feed of scare tactics won't work on me, it just hardens my resolve to vote Leave.

But you do know, that decisions in the EU have to be "harmony" with the other 28 states ? There is no "majority decision" in the EU ! Consequently there are no 3,6 % of British voting power.

The Brits were often enough using this tool as a political leverage.

(If one country is "putting it's foot down", any decision in the EU is not possible.)

"Run that by me again Seany.

The fact that we are already in the EU - does that mean that we have already had to give up the £ and take the Euro and give control over over our economy to the european central bank- christ! no bugger tells me anything, bet thats those sneaky europeans that have keeping quiet about this- sooner we are away from this shower the better.
"

I mean, if ALL of Britain leaves the EU, then that will include Scotland as Scotland is part of Britain, and if Scotland then votes for 'independance' from England and successfully re-joins the EU (This was part of the manifesto of the SNP during the 'Independance' vote thet had a while ago), then they'd have to give up the £ (which they made such a fuss of wanting to keep), because all new members of the EU have to give up their own currency and take the Euro. Who cotnrols the Euro and decided much of the economic ideas of the EU? The European Central Bank

Sorry, that's nonsense !!!

If Scotland declarers "Independents", they can stay with the British -Pound. Unlikely, that Britain is wanting this.
They can open/declare their own currency as any sovereign state can (maybe they call it "Scottish-Pound").

Sometime in the future they can request being a member in the European - Monetary - Union. This can be done as a parliamentary decision or a citizen - vote (in Scotland). The EU - Central - Bank can confirm or deny this decision.

Puhbear69, I think you're misinterpreting what I mean.

I just mean, that if Scotland gets 'Independence' From Britain, and then go and join the EU they would then have to give up the £ (or whatever currency they have at the time) and replace it with the 'Euro', as that is one of the rules for new members joing the EU.

I'd be very surprised if they were allowed to keep the £ if they did join the EU, as that would not help in the EU's stated policy of 'ever greater union'.

Not all EU states have to join the Euro, they have to meet certain criteria first, more about that here
http://ec.europa.eu/economy_finance/...n/index_en.htm

States can negotiate an opt out as the UK and Denmark did.

As for the new entrants
Brussels admits SEVEN countries CAN'T join crumbling EURO

So far only three countries have met the ECB stated rules for joining the Euro. UK, Germany and The Netherlands. All the others were fudged in. That's what happens when the Project becomes more important than the reality.

I watched the BBC Question Time last night and I regret to say that it was very marred by the "contributions" of the comedian, Eddie Izzard: a man who was not beaten often enough or severely enough as a child. I detest people who persistently interrupt others (not occasionally but persistently); such very bad manners and it undermines your own position if you do it. Mr Izzard supports the "Remain" campaign apparently and was very vocal without making anything much of a case. I trust no one will invite him onto any future edition of Question Time because he has nothing to contribute and interferes when other people are trying to say something.
