Smith's 2010 stats: 2 of 3 passing for 6 big yards, but one was a TD; 38 carries for 299, 4 catches for 44 yds, 50 KRs for 1432 yds and 60 ST tackles. He does a little of everything but not much of anything ... a lot of return yards, I guess, but I thought that was partly why we drafted the mighty C.J. Spiller I guess he'll be good for a few trick plays too... why not? ... nothing else on O worked last year Miami has Reggie Bush now ... I would expect gadget plays called for him, I guess. |

NE fits them in under the cap because these guys know they're nearing the end of the line. Haynesworth realizes he was a clown last year (at least he better) with the 'Skins and under Belichick he can possibly regain some dignity. I agree with gross on the Rams in the NFC Worst, I mean West.
I think the Bills have a pulse. In some ways what the rest of the division is doing is to get better right now. With NE and the Jets, they're close to the top, so they figure a few tweaks and they're good to go. Miami might be a bit more of a mess than the Bills. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Sparano is the first coach to get the ax. I think for the first time since the late 90's, the Bills actually have a plan and it seems as if they're sticking to it. So for this season, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I'll be happy if the team gets to the mediocre range they were under Jauron (and really, that's a sad thought.) But I don't think they can really compete with the two division powers this season.

I suppose it all depends on how you view free agency. If you do it the Redskins way, you overpay for past their prime talent, or the Patriots way which is bring in people for the needs you have.
Like the draft, free agency is a crap shoot. And part of the problem now is at this time of the year, we're gearing up for the start of camp knowing what the roster will be going into camp, what tweaks or changes are put into the playbook, where the rookies fit it, etc. This year, we're compressing 5 months of off-field activity into 5 days of frenzy without all the OTA's and minicamps. Last year's preseaon was one of the dullest I'd ever seen. This year, every thing is wide open. But at this point, I'd rather be a Bills fan than say, a Broncos, Panthers or Bengals fan.

my point is, bro, that the Bills don't seem to be doing anything. For example, the Eagles just acquired two Pro-Bowl CBs on consecutive days (which is great news for us Cowboys and Giants fans ) I'd like to see them make some kind of splash, to get the fans excited.
Btw, I don't know if you heard, but in the new deal, the players won less off-season practices, mini-camps, two-a-days in camp and practices in pads through the season. Wonder if or how that will affect the quality of the product? Good news for brother Tit-Fan... Chris Johnson (aka Brown ) is a training camp hold-out ... like the Titans didn't already have enough probs. |

the iggles just got a lot better at corners. rogers-cromartie yesterday and then nnamdi asomugha today. throw in asante samuels, those are three very good options at cornerbacks. double whammy for the cowboys...not only they didn't get him (asomugha), they will have to contend will him twice a year too...

Week 5 results...
Brother Tit-Fan wins for the second week in a row you sure you've never seen CFL before, bro? the choice of avatar is yours again you gonna just replace the 'S' with horsies?
This season is tough to predict... Edm & Wpg with the best records they were the worst last year... two weeks ago the Als looked unstoppable... Ti-Cats starting to roll and the boatmen sinking Argos blew a 16-point lead vs Edm ... at least they aren't (quite) as bad as BC... how long before Buono is gone, brother 4legs? the latest carnage...
