Christine Keeler, born 22 February 1942, was an English model and showgirl.

She was a 'good-time girl', not the prostitute the English press called her. She went to night clubs, fancy restaurants and orgies with rich men: a 'compensated dater' as Californians say nowadays. Unfortunately her introduction to that world, Stephen Ward, had no discretion whatsoever, and paired her off with both the Russian military attache and John Profumo, the UK's Minister for War. This was in 1963, at the depth of the Cold War. The resulting scandal ruined Profumo's political career, and is credited with ending the rule of his government.

Are they still around? I'm sure collectors snapped them up after the scandal.

I hope this is the right place for her... perhaps a bit more infamous than famous... The movie "Scandal" depicted some of her story, there was also a television series made on her (sex orgies, top UK politicians and Russian spy's...)
