Born in 1955, I was a sixthformer/Student in the early to mid 70's. I saw Lindisfarne and Roxy Music several times at the City Hall in Newcastle, Fox and Sailor and many other groups at the Coatham Bowl in Redcar and Leo Sayer at a Disco/Bar in Scarborough. I never bought a single, it was always Albums. Every student had James Taylor, Carol King's 'Tapestry', Leonard Cohen's Greatest hits, Fleetwood Mac and Rod Stuart's Atlantic Crossing, Teaser and the Firecat and Streets of London.
