For me avoiding stress and particularly anger is still the best relief, once it has started it's very hard to get rid off..

Lift weights, then burn my carpet with an iron.

Have realised that i mostly say the most awful swear words possible when i get pushed to the limit and then punch inanimate objects . Such as doors , wardrobes , walls or even wooden floors with my fists until i bugger them up. My fists that is not the floor or furniture . Or i have been known to hit myself , you know the double fist side of the head machine gun punch , as in whack whack whack whack whack whack whack. Well better i unleash my childish fists of fury against me or house bricks rather than a human being
Takes an awful lot to destroy my zen and get me so insane to do or say these things though , and i only do or say them when i`ve got a witness to my self injuring stupidity. Mind you the person with me is usually the person who`s driven me off the cliff . Have only had this sort of mental blow out a handful (No pun intended, but then there wasn`t one) of times though I ain`t crazy or nothing . Am i ? "Oh no no no you ain`t a crazy boss "

For temporary anger: swearing, yelling, eventually breaking objects - when I was younger.
For more serious types of anger which often involve a sense of betrayal greater means are required: writing, music, booze, meditation, walking... One thing I've learned though is that anger can be the voice of one's truth.. but it takes some work |

I broke an LCD TV a couple of years ago
I hate fiddling with wires and leads, particularly those behind the telly where several little black boxes are interlinked.
One day my lack of patience, poor illumination, frustration and alcohol saw me tugging too hard on some cables and toppling the TV onto my prostrate body. I threw it off and followed up my initial assault with a couple of good, hard stamps. Bye bye Mr Baird, hello 'whatever happens' insurance policy. One week after moving into a new house in 1995, I nearly crippled myself when I kicked the side of the dishwasher. We told the national electrical retailer who sold it that it was like that when we unpacked it. They replaced it and the delivery men had obviously been told to remove the packaging before they left. I threw an expensive watch causing £250 damage that came from my pocket on this occasion. Smashed up an Epson printer that kept jamming only to find the matches responsible in the wreckage. At least I don't hit people.

I have a lightning quick temper. I will blow up at what most people think are very mundane things. If I bump my head on something, drop something, hit my foot on something, it drives me insane.
I've had a bad temper for a very long time. Back when I was playing golf I would usually be short a club or two because I've broken them. I've busted my foot from kicking a brick wall, hurt my hands numerous times from hitting a wall or something else when I would get pissed off. I'm sorry but I'm not one of those people that can just shrug it off when something goes wrong. I have to yell, scream, hit something, kick something, just something to demonstrate anger. A reason is that something always seems to go against me. I'm always making mistakes. I've probably busted about a dozen or more video game controllers over the years. Latest one was this spring.

What do you do too relieve stress and or anger ?
I gently harmlessly quote then reply to fellow members who after many years have rarely if ever contributed anything of worth
They then (Typically) for some reason respond in a way totally disproportionate to what i actually said So giving me a valid moral high ground reason to , errr, care for them Just like my great uncle Doc Joe MengeleJoker did , way back in the day

Tea lots and lots of tea. Also it helps if you can have a chat with someone, one good thing about my employer is they have a counselling section. After a major incident at work they rang me up and talked me through the incident.
