I had a a problem a few days ago, but it seems to be fixed now. I couldn't get the image button to work on PMs.

That button is only a shortcut to the file host Pimp & Host. If you want to use this host you can always go to their site like you would any other; that is type their url into a new browser window. As a better alternative you could also use Imagebam, Imagevenue, or Imgbox.
